Birds of the Archipelago photo exhibition

25.8.2026 - 29.8.2026

17:00 - 19:00

Suomenlinna, Tenalji von Fersen, Korppukuivaamo

On the islets west of the Suomenlinna ferry route, you can spot common eiders, diving ducks, mergansers and five species of gulls. The common shelduck, black-legged kittiwake, red phalarope and Steller’s eider are also among the area’s bird species.

The John Nurminen Foundation and Viapori Jazz invite you to take a moment to step into the world of the birds of the Baltic Sea: to admire their beauty and reflect on just how delicate and vulnerable their habitat is.

While the Viapori Jazz Festival is going on, you can visit archipelago photographer Raimo Sundelin’s exhibition “Birds of the Archipelago” without an admission ticket. You’ll find the exhibition in the hallway leading from the Korppukuivaamo hall to the Tenaille von Fersen banquet hall.

A warm welcome to you all!
